Dudes and Dudettes

The Internet is mysterious, vast, and ever changing. It's magnificence is only paired with one dangerous factor that there might be someone else out there that can access your personal information with just a few clicks and beeps with god knows what.

With that in mind, what's stopping the user on the other side of the server from using that information for his or her own personal gain?

I know. I sound like I'm paranoid.

Perhaps I am? You see, I don't really get it why kids would just blatantly give access to certain *ahem* websites their credit card numbers and their IC Numbers. Perhaps it's in a moment of lust? Maybe it's for the thrill?

Perhaps it's because they think they have nothing to loose.

Well, the generation I grew up in taught me that giving up even my IC would mean possible repercussions either in the long run of events or a possible phone call from someone dubious. To put it nicely, I'm a bit of a typical Singaporean. I'm conservative but at the same time I'm greedy.

Conservative on my information and greedy to know what others are doing.

Isn't that what you, Dude/Dudette, are keen to know about?
